APAC Lead – Data Strategy and Architecture
We Offer
Opportunity to be part of the APAC Design Office, and be responsible for Data Strategy and Architecture for the division. The role is highly impactful and requires working with senior leadership across APAC Business, Technology and Chief Data Officer (CDO) function
The key responsibilities include:
Data Strategy
  • Own and drive the APAC Data Strategy, to support the bank's Business Strategy as well as evolving regulatory expectations
  • The data strategy is to be developed in partnership with Business, Technology and CDO, and is to demonstrate the bank's internal Data Management Framework (DMF) that defines guidelines across data governance, quality and controls, architecture, security and data usage
  • The APAC Data Strategy needs to elaborate APAC's ambition / target state across each of these 5 DMF capabilities and define a multi-year roadmap for transitioning to the target state
Data Architecture
  • Define APAC Data Architecture including (1.) identification of key data classes across the bank's business architecture, (2.) identification of applications that would be "golden sources" for these data classes in the current state and target state
  • Perform Data Reviews of CtB programs, and ensure that these programs source data responsibly, and in line with the APAC Data Strategy and Architecture. This could include understanding the data requirements for the change program, reviewing their data sourcing plans, data transformations, controls as well as ownership
Data Governance
  • Annually track execution of APAC Data Strategy and progress made towards achieving the target state
  • Represent APAC in Global CDO and Architecture forums and steer definition of new Data Governance and Architecture standards aligned with APAC interests and requirements
  • Operating within our Conduct & Ethic standards, being aware of operational risk, raising when any identified with a focus on striving for operational excellence and working with the wider team on constant improvement.

You Offer
  • You have 8 to 10 years' consulting experience with financial services firms in Data Strategy and Architecture space, alternately an equivalent experience with a bank's CDO function
  • Thought leadership in Data Strategy and Architecture space, with ability to engage and steer priorities with senior business partners both within the region and globally
  • Understanding of financial services industry, especially Wealth Management and Investment Banking / capital markets
  • Strong analytical capabilities and presentation skills, ability to own deliverables and operate independently with high quality of output
  • Consistent ability to deliver high quality and accurate outputs with a can-do attitude
  • You have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • You are ambitious, hardworking, committed who can work on own initiative and deliver on time whilst also being collaborative with our team and nurturing positive relationships with business partners
  • High level of integrity, sense of urgency, outstanding attention to detail and quality standards
