APAC EMEA Monitoring Engagement Manager - Engineer Lead Analyst
The APAC / EMEA Monitoring Engagement Manager - Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for driving the rollout of Monitoring tools across the APAC / EMEA GCB region, including the scheduling coordination, rollout and validation of monitoring tools.

  • The role will be a point of contact for monitoring engagement, build roadmaps, collect initial requirements, schedule deployments to the lower environment, schedule and request performance test signoff, obtain formal production signoff and schedule production deployments, in partnership with multiple stakeholders across Prod Mgmt., Performance Test, Infra Operations and App Owners.
  • Multiple parallel applications will be worked at the same time, supporting new monitoring rollouts, configuration updates and agent version upgrades. Multiple monitoring tools are supported, primarily AppDynamics, Evolven, BSM & Splunk, through the rollout lifecycle.
  • The role is central to the rollout of monitoring and without it, the monitoring footprint.
  • Define Monitoring roadmaps for the region.
  • Collect roadmap requirements for instrumentation.
  • Recommend product customization for system integration
  • Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
  • Advise or mentor junior team members
  • Impact the engineering function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering & IT role
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Experience working with Monitoring tools (e.g. AppDynamics, Splunk, BSM, Evolven or Aternity.)
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including operations, application developers and performance testing.
  • Project Management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
