Trading Business Management Internship

The Intern will have the opportunity to work within Trading Business Management during the 6 month-internship. Trading Business Management (TBM) proactively supports TD Securities' Front Office businesses to achieve sustainable strategies, supervision, operating practices and governance aligned with regulatory requirements, Bank policies and risk appetite.  TBM provides dedicated business support to the Front Office businesses, liaises with independent support and control functions on a variety of enterprise initiatives and acts in the capacity of the Front Office to facilitate their objectives.

Position Objectives

The primary objectives of the incumbent are to:                       

  • Assist in day-to-day TBM functions
  • Assist in initiatives and projects

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Take meeting minutes for various management, trading supervision, and project related meetings
  • Update and follow up on projects/initiatives tracker
  • Perform weekly outstanding attestation check – including MRPs, TALs, FO Policy, and others
  • Assist with tracking local governance requirements, including liaising with various support teams such as TRS and Finance
  • Assist in Client On-boarding process and maintaining approved counterparty lists for FO
  • On- and Off-boarding staff check lists
  • Assist with preparing Trading Supervision Packs

Requirements

  • Looking at Year 2 and Year 3 Undergraduates specializing in accounting/Finance/Business/Economics or any related field
  • 6 months full time internship commencing in June / July 2019
