Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities (FICC) Engineering plays a key role in the firm's ability to provide liquidity and execution services for institutional clients around the world, two important revenue drivers for the firm. In FICC Engineering we use both open source industry standard and internal proprietary technologies to build cutting edge platforms for pricing, execution, and control over each of these millions of transactions. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Who We Look For
The FICC Systematic Market Making (SMM) business consolidates and expands the firm's electronic market making and algorithmic trade execution. As part of the SMM Engineering team, SMM Post Execution Engineering partners with SMM Trading and Sales to develop post-execution services for the firm and its clients in FICC Electronic Trading Markets.
Our team develops a broad post-trade platform across FICC Electronic Trading Markets providing both internal and external clients with post-execution services including Straight-Through-Processing (STP), email recaps, trade booking & aggregation, post-trade reporting and integrations with Goldman Sachs Marquee.
We utilize a rich software stack comprised of both open source and GS proprietary technologies. The candidate will be responsible for building new and innovative solutions in addition to enhancing our existing post-execution systems. We have a deep pipeline of business-driven project requests aimed at automating and enhancing trading, sales and client workflows and increasing our competitive advantage with our clients.
The team is also focused on designing and implementing the future of post-execution services within FICC SMM, using Java and Apache Kafka. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Job Summary
- Full-stack development on new and existing post-execution service platforms
- Managing the balance between feature development velocity and reliability with well-defined SLOs
- Participation in system design and requirements analysis
- Write unit and integration tests to assert the correctness of the features you've implemented
- Implement software using Java and GS proprietary technologies
- Significant business interaction across FICC SMM - Trading, Sales, Clients, Engineering & Compliance
- STEM degree with 1 to 5 years of work experience
- Strong hands-on programming experience, in at least one object-oriented language (Java, C++, Python)
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
