Description

The Fund Accounting Corporate Actions team is responsible for sourcing, validation and accurate processing of corporate actions events from Citi systems and range of independent external data vendors (Bloomberg, Telekurs).

The team's tasks are a part of preparation and delivery of the funds' asset valuation (Net Asset Value) to the Citi institutional clients.
To do this the team actively cooperates with other teams within Citi from different geographic locations to provide one standard service to the client

Work with a team whose main tasks are:
  • Accurate and timely processing of all corporate actions events in the accounting system.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies between the Citi records and the Custodian positions.
  • Cooperating with internal and external clients as well as with other teams involved in Middle Office and Fund Accounting processes.
  • Assisting  in the on-boarding of new clients or client accounts.
  • Assisting  with team/departmental projects.
  • Ensuring the timely resolution of all stock and cash exceptions following reconciliation.
  • Escalating processing errors and potential risks to line manager upon discovery.
  • Identifying and reporting of any gaps and risks in a process followed by the single-handed preparation and implementation of solutions eliminating these gaps.
  • Participating in client/oversight/internal business calls.
  • Participating in preparations for internal and external audits.
  • Performing control functions in a process, verify transactions booked into accounting system and preparation of accounting summaries/reports.
  • Providing training for team members;
  • Regular reviewing and updating of procedures for the team.
  • Understanding of the product and end to end process on the level sufficient for efficient interaction with department management.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-1,5 years of experience in financial operations - corporate actions, custody will be an asset.
  • Capital market knowledge.
  • Experience of working in a process-driven and controls-focused environment.
  • Proven experience delivering tangible results in Operations focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Excel skills.
