Job Responsibilities:

First point of contact for (a) new demo clients, and (b) failed applications.

General Role description :

Reporting to the Business Development Team Lead, the role will consist of two parts. The main component will see the successful candidate make outbound telephone calls to prospects that have opened an IG demo account. Through appropriate questioning, you will be expected to gain a better understanding of the prospect's needs and requirements and help to facilitate that next step of becoming a full, live account holder. To do this, you will need to have a comprehensive understanding of IG's products and trading platforms (provided through a programme of internal training), and remain informed of ongoing financial market events. The second aspect of the role requires you to assist clients with the account opening process, providing support via both telephone and email.

Due to the nature of the product suite provided by IG, you will not be asked to do any cold-calling.

Job Responsibilities:

Providing front-line support to our demo clients; will predominantly consist of answering queries and educating them about the product offering. This may be achieved within one telephone conversation but realistically, you'll be handling a demo client for a period of up to 4 weeks, Following adoption of company sales techniques, open questions will be used to better understand the client's needs and previous experience. Should the client have an objection (i.e. something's holding them back from taking that next step), you will be expected to troubleshoot that objection and provide the client with a solution, Coordinating with the Account Opening and Compliance departments to ensure that pending applications are activated in accordance with in-house procedures and local regulatory requirements, There will be a minimum expectation for outbound dials and time spent on the telephone, and key performance metrics will revolve around (a) demo to live account, and (b) pending to active account conversion rates.

Person Specification:

Experience

  • At least 6 months' telephone sales experience, Able to demonstrate excellent sales , interpersonal and communication skills, and adopt an enthusiastic approach when speaking to new clients,
  • Has previously operated within a goal-orientated environment and is motivated by not only meeting, but exceeding, regular performance targets
  • Has a good working knowledge of and active interest in the financial markets


Qualifications
  • Educated to at least a good leaving certificate standard (or overseas equivalent)
  • Fluency in English - C1 (verbal and written)
  • fluency in Russian/Ukrainian would be an asset


Skills
  • Literacy in Microsoft Office Showing initiative in identifying problems and posing solutions with a logical and analytical approach
  • Able to work in a professional and organised manner that's befitting of a regulated product environment,
  • Displays drive and tenacity in achieving goals Has a challenging mindset, using training and experience to identify the need for change/improvement
  • Strong time-management skills Able to cope well under pressure and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
