Lead Developer / Architect

Portaltech Reply is seeking a Lead Developer/Architect with a passion for eCommerce and digital Customer Experience to deliver business value, with a focus on teamwork and project success. We are looking for motivated and curious people with a proactive way of working.

Responsibilities

• As part of a new international business initiative, you will be designing commerce / web-based architectures and implement innovative features in cooperation with product owners, business analysts and other stakeholders
• Together with your agile team you will be using modern PHP and JavaScript systems, tools and paradigms like Symfony, Laravel, node.js, Vue.js or React
• You also work with our partners and account managers for Sylius, Shopware, Akeneo and TYPO3
• Team leading and developing the hiring plan for PHP engineers and architects. As well as being a coach to the team members and junior developers
• In order to realize and fulfill the clients expectations you will need to show off your consulting skills and take care of active support in the implementation and further development of standards

Qualifications

• We are looking forward to your successfully completed studies in computer science, mathematics, physics or a similar qualification
4+ Years of experience in IT and DevOps environment; at least 1 year in CI/CD development
• Extensive knowledge of PHP, Symfony, Laravel
• You are experienced in migration of legacy applications to public cloud providers (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS) and capable of running those applications
• Practical experience with agile development methods such as Scrum and Kanban
• You are communicative team player with very good English language skills. Basic German will be a plus.
