Caldwell New Zealand is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a key leadership role within a well regarded Financial Services company based in New Zealand. Our client has some flexibility regarding location.

The CFO is a critical executive position that provides strategic leadership to set the organisation’s commercial agenda and to ensure the integrity of fiscal, governance and regulatory activities for its sustainable financial health.

As a key partner to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is pivotal in helping shape the commercial strategy and drive our client organisation’s financial growth and sustainability. It provides financial stewardship to the C-Suite and works in close partnership with the Board and the Audit Committee of the Board.

The CFO will have a broad remit encompassing Finance, Treasury, Capital Management, Tax and Insurance and Property & Procurement.

The person we are looking for 

• An experienced finance executive with a strong Financial Services background, proven commercial and financial acumen, and demonstrated ability to think strategically and to engage with gravitas and presence at an Executive and Board level.
• A highly skilled communicator with the ability to translate financials into meaningful information for all stakeholders within the business and for internal/external stakeholders.
• An executive with strong transformational leadership skills and the capacity to apply creativity and innovation to identify strategic options and develop revenue generating growth solutions.
• A results-focussed individual with a "can-do" attitude, resilience, drive and commitment who will be able to perform well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• A proven leader and builder of high performing teams and will have prior experience of working successfully with regulators and rating agents.
