Junior Sales Trader | CEE Market



The Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing environmental commodities trading and advisory business operating across Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), RINs, carbon markets, renewable energy certificates, renewable fuels, and broader energy transition products.

They are seeking an ambitious Junior Sales Trader to join their expanding team. This opportunity offers exposure to the US environmental commodities market, working alongside experienced traders while developing commercial, trading, and relationship management skills within a high-growth sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management and development of relationships with utilities, producers, aggregators, corporates, industrials, and other market participants.

• Assist in growing the client base through targeted outreach, networking, and market engagement.

• Monitor US RNG, RINs, carbon, and renewable certificate markets to identify commercial opportunities.

• Provide market intelligence, pricing updates, and relevant insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Support the structuring and execution of environmental commodity transactions.

• Maintain and develop a pipeline of prospective counterparties and business opportunities.

• Work closely with senior traders to facilitate efficient deal execution and client service.

• Track market developments, regulatory changes, and supply-demand dynamics across environmental commodity markets.

Candidate Profile

✔ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Energy, or a related field.

✔ 1-3 years of experience within:

• Commodity Trading

• Commodity Brokerage

• Investment Banking

• Consulting

• Business Development

• Energy Markets

• Environmental Commodities

✔ Strong interest in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), RINs, carbon markets, renewable fuels, and energy transition markets.

✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

✔ Commercially minded with a desire to develop into a client-facing trading role.

✔ Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail.

✔ Fluency in English and any Eastern European language is required; Romanian and Hungarian are strongly preferred.

✔ Comfortable working within a collaborative, fast-paced, and feedback-driven environment.
