Equity Syndicate is the link between the public and private side within the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) chain. Equity Syndicate falls under the private side but is required to operate as the 'eyes and ears' of the public side.
Equity Syndicate exists as the main hub between Corporate Finance Advisory and ECM (private side), Equity Sales, Salestrading and Research (public side). It also cultivates direct relations with the Buyside (Institutional Clients) and Issuers (Corporate Clients).
Equity Syndicate work can be very high paced during times of deal execution, where you will be required to operate under intense time pressure.
Equally when no ECM transactions are in execution, you should be self-motivated and familiarize yourself with the Bank's Corporate and Institutional Client universe and help formulate equity solutions for the Bank's clients.
Equity Syndicate is part of ECM and Corporate Broking which falls under Global Markets. The Equity Syndicate team is a specialized entity within ECM and you will be working in a team of only 3 people.
You can be assured you will get a lot of client exposure and responsibility from an early stage onwards.

Your job
Job characteristics: Typical tasks are, but not limited to:
- Preparation of ECM pitch materials
- Running data searches to support ECM advisory work
- Reviewing ECM documentation where relevant to Equity Syndicate
- Streamlining communication between Equity Research, Sales and Salestrading on the one hand and ECM / Corporate Finance on the other
- Establishing communication lines with major Buyside investors important to ECM deals
- Establishing communication lines with other Equity Syndicate desks in Europe and , where relevant, globally
- Coordination of deal investor education, management roadshows, messaging to the market
- Advising on investor preferences, behaviour and characteristics
- Advising on valuation, price range setting

- academic education
- fluent in English and Dutch
- born communicator
- very analytical
- independent spirit
- high degree of self-motivation and willingness to work hard
- extremely proficient in Microsoft excel and powerpoint
- Up to 3 years work experience in global (equity) markets or corporate finance
