Overall Purpose of Job:

You will be responsible within MUFG Bank Europe (MBE) for the bank’s overall financial and capital planning.

Essential Functions:

  • Support and advice in design, deployment, and operating of financial control framework, including profitability monitoring and improvement, expense allocation and control, capital, liquidity, and tax planning. Develop and update financial models, projections, and documentation.
  •   Delivery of high-quality MI for management governance and decision making.
  • Lead or participate in required projects or initiatives in facilitating enhancement of financial controls, transfer pricing, providing expertise, and recommending proportional cost-effective and efficient solutions.
  •  Provide assistance ad-hoc projects under the sponsorship of the CFO.

Work Experience:

3-6 years of relevant experience with a consultancy/advisory company with exposure to financial institutions.

Functional/Technical Skills and Knowledge requirements:

  • Experience in preparing presentations to senior management and other stakeholders
  • An up-to-date understanding, of accounting, tax, financial services industry and regulatory changes (e.g. IFRS, ECB, EBA, DNB)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Excel, Modeling, Data Manipulation, and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Analytical Abilities/Financial Acumen/Problem solving skills
  • Pro-actively develops and maintains relationships with a wide range of key contacts in MUFG
  • Experience designing financial reporting and working with large data sets
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Written language skills are needed for drafting internal memos, policies, procedures, instructions, manuals etc. Other European languages would be beneficial.

Education:

·       University Master Degree and/or equivalent experience.
