About our client Our client is a global asset manager with more than US$500 billion AUM worldwide, with a significant presence in the industrial and retail real estate sectors throughout Mexico.
What the job involves - Oversee all financial and accounting reporting, including review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Act as the point person for managing day-to-day technical matters and addressing any questions on financial and accounting issues
- Perform periodic desktop audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal controls
- Work closely with business teams on acquisition/divestment transactions. Provide support on financial issues related to transaction execution and post close
- Liaise with offshore teams and provide guidance on all technical issues related to the finances of the local Mexican operations
- Oversee cash management activities including capital calls, distributions, payments, FX strategy and other related activities
Who we are looking for - Be a qualified accountant with strong people management skills
- Possess a proven history of working to and achieving strict deadlines
- Assert strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of operations and senior management
- Display strong attention to detail
- Possess strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate issues, propose and implement solutions, with consideration for all downstream implications
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
