Our client has an exciting new position open as Chief Commercial Officer. The ideal candidate has concrete experience in the clean energy and/or real estate sector, with a proven track record to originate and execute deals. Solid experience in negotiating and executing power purchase agreements (PPAs) is required. As well, he/she boasts a solid network of clients, particularly among the industrial and commercial real estate sector as well as with developers. Our client seeks a natural-born, charismatic leader to develop and execute the commercial strategy and motivate a team of analysts, commercial and client service managers to achieve goals and further expand the company's presence throughout Mexico. The position is based in Mexico City.
What the job involves - Execute the company's sales and business development plan (mainly negotiating and closing power purchase contracts with industrial consumers)
- Leading commercial and post-sale teams, implementing sophisticated market-capturing strategies to broaden the company's opportunity for success
- Designing creative and sophisticated energy-as-a-service business plans
- Create and adapt company investment policies, together with the financial department
- Leading marketing and public relations efforts for the company
- Implement a new customer service department and policies
- Conduct sophisticated market analysis
- Oversee Investor relations
- Constantly improve the company's energy product and sales tools
Who we are looking for - Proven commercial track record as Sales/Business Development Director in Mexico, preferably in industrial B2B sales
- Experience with Power Purchasing Agreements (PPAs)
- Experience underwriting energy, real estate, or other infrastructure assets
- Private Equity / Financial background highly favoured
- Experience developing high calibre talent for sales and analytical teams
- ESG reporting experience
- Entrepreneurial drive, self-taught
- Master's degree a plus
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
