About our client
Our client-a leading energy and infrastructure fund-is expanding its team and seeks an associate to join its Mexico City team. You will have a chance to work alongside senior team members in analysing investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sector in Mexico. Our client seeks a hands-on individual to play an active role in all aspects of the transaction, from origination through to execution and asset management. It is an exciting opportunity with a solid career path to becoming a senior member and partner in the fund.

What the job involves

• Help to analyse potential investments in the energy infrastructure sector from a financial, economic, and operating perspective
• Develop financial models to analyse potential investment opportunities and conduct due diligence
• Support in the structuring and financing of the transactions
• Work closely with senior team members on all issues related to deal closing
• Play an active role in portfolio/asset management, monitoring financial, commercial, operating and ESG factors
• Prepare regular investment and valuation reports for senior management and investors
• Support capital raising initiatives

Who we are looking for

• Several years' experience in investment banking, private equity or strategic management consulting; knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors (power generation, oil & gas, transportation, water, etc.) is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering, actuary sciences or similar field
• Superior analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders j
• Hands-onon and energetic team player
• Advanced level of English
