Sr. Client Services/Customer Support Analyst - Loan Administrator

ClearPar is the first fully operational provider of par and distressed loan closing and recordkeeping services for the primary and secondary par loan markets. Through a unique combination of experienced personnel and electronic processing, hardware and software, ClearPar has built a single platform system to address market demands for efficient settlement of par loan closings.
The successful candidate will form a key part of the Markit Loan Settlement Platform responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of Syndicated Loan Market offering, as well as supporting the questions and requests of our internal and external clients.
IHS Markit is seeking a professional person who will be located within the Kuala Lumpur office supporting the Loan Platforms business. This role will be supporting either the North America or EMEA regions, with shifts times to cover those clients' working hours. Loan Platforms and ClearPar provide a complete electronic trade processing ecosystem used to settle syndicated loan trades. Used by buyers, sellers, and agent banks, our platforms automate loan trade affirmation, confirmation and matching to facilitate straight through processing of loan trades.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an analytical approach who thrives in a fast environment and has an interest in financial markets. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to improve the settlement process by providing support to the Loan Settlement team and work with clients to identify solutions within the ClearPar product.
In this role, you will gain exposure to an exciting financial market and interact, on a daily basis with clients of varying levels of seniority. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about finance, banking and high-technology.
Duties & accountabilities
- Loan administration, credit and transfer document builds
- Track ongoing loan activity and manage loan identifiers
- Analyze all aspects of new deal closings, Credit Agreements, Amendments, and Deal Restructures
- Work with a global team of Client Services Analysts responsible for front-line client services on various Loans platforms
- Pro-actively escalate issues and work with peers and management on a resolution
- Must consistently adhere to all internal procedures
- Be pro-active in identifying problems and either resolving or escalating them
- Capture and channel user feedback to the management team to facilitate the continuous improvement of our products and services
- Projects as requested by team leader
- Ad hoc duties and requests as required by the business.
Education and experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience within the financial industry would be preferred, but not a requirement
Ability to think laterally and analyse and question processes
Proficient in MS office
Ability to identify and escalate issues or concerns
Excellent prioritization skills a requirement
Eager to learn with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Great organizational skills are a requirement
Must be able handle stressful customer situations with patience and poise
Proficient PC skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with internet-based applications
Ability to review processes and suggest improvements
The candidate must be a self-starter, able to take on multiple tasks at a time, hardworking, efficient with good analytical skills.
Mature and independent. Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in workflow and work effectively in a dynamic environment
Possess a practical approach to problem solving
Strong team ethic a requirement
Must demonstrate superior communication skills and is expected to interact professionally across business units within the company
