Special Project- General Ledger & Payment Operations (GLP) Department

Description: We serve 3 key entities in MY namely OCBC Bank (M) Berhad, OCBC Al-Amin Bank Berhad and e2Power Sdn Bhd in Oracle ERP modules.

The General Ledger ("GL") team maintains Oracle GL including the daily operations of journalizing financial activities and other bank wide initiatives such as new products / services / cost centres and new system by advising on the accounting entries and interfaces to Oracle GL. In addition, GL team also looks after staff reimbursable claims made via Oracle IE and tax invoice issuance via Oracle AR.

The Payments team handles processing of invoices and registering of Fixed Asset via Oracle AP and Oracle FA modules. In addition, the team facilitates accruals of expenses (FRS 137) made by all departments.

The Special Project team assist in bank wide projects/initiatives participated or driven by Finance, focusing mainly on system enhancement for new initiatives, process improvements and regulatory requirements.


  1. The key role is to provide assistance in Bank's projects with Finance involvement (example GST and Regulatory Reporting Projects)
  2. The main activities involved in the projects are preparing user requirement, test plan and test scripts, and leading the execution of User Acceptance Test.
  3. The role will also be tasked with GL and payment operation functions including maintenance of Oracle GL, FA, AP, AR, IE.
  4. Other ad-hoc work as requested by the Special Project team.


  1. A graduate and preferably with experience in project management and system design.
  2. Has an interest in exploring systems capabilities and is persistent in finding solutions.
  3. Able to work with groups of people with diverse interest and focus areas.
  4. Good command of spoken and written English
