Business Title: Scrum Master
JOB PURPOSE:
Wealth Management & Private Bank are delivering a major programme around Lending. The role will work with the Lending IT Head of Delivery to plan and facilitate the delivery of an Agile Software Delivery Framework to support major projects in KL. The candidate will operate as the Scrum Master role, and facilitate the delivery of capabilities using the Scrum framework with the delivery team, and working closely with Business Product Owner.

Job Description
The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day running of an Agile team and ensuring that progress is visible to all key stakeholders. They ensure that the team functions as effectively as possible and protects the team from external impacts. This is a facilitative leadership role. The Scrum Master should seek to promote self-organisation within the team, i.e. the team collectively optimises itself to achieve the defined Sprint and project goals, rather than the Scrum Master acting as authority and coordinator. The Scrum Master takes ownership that the right things are happening, preferably not ownership of the activities themselves.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design, develops, enhances, debugs and implement software applications using SDLC best practices in an Agile environment.
· Troubleshoots production problems related to existing software applications.
· Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish a task.
· Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
· Plans and lead major technology assignments.
· Researches, designs, develops, tests, builds and co-ordinates the conversion and/or integration of software products based on business requirements.
· Consults Agile team (developer/tester) and product owner to identify application requirements/design/solutioning/testing.
· Addresses problems of system integration, compatibility and multiple platforms.
· Performs feasibility analysis on potential future application projects to management.
· Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of applications software packages, application integration and testing tools.
· Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
· Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics wherever applicable.
· Participates in development of software user manual, technical reports (design/interface document) and release plan (implementation/deployment plan)
· Raise change and participate in implementation.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Required
· 10 years of IT experience. Knowledge and at least 3 years experience of Agile project management standards and techniques including Agile software development methodologies, values and procedures.
· Scrum Master and /or Product Owner certification is required.
· Practices servant leader. Helps the delivery team to remove impediments and self organize.
· The role will play an important part in facilitating an uplift in technical excellence across the PvB & WM ITO team including adoption of Dev Ops and Automated Testing tools. The candidate must demonstrate proven competence in software development and coaching experience.
· An ability to apply strong leadership, and assertiveness to deliver projects on time and within stakeholder expectations.
· Implementation experience in Private Bank, Wealth Management or Investment Banking large scale programmes is preferred.
· A solid understanding of Agile values and principles with strong overall knowledge of the Scrum process.
· Basic understanding of software development processes and project tools; JIRA, Confluence and metrices such as release/sprint burn down, defect density, RCA/EDA etc.
· Expertise on user centred design preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teams but also with other supporting teams and business units.
