Sales Support Officer, Business Banking

• To provide strong support in acquiring, growing and deepening of Business Banking relationships through effective relationship management, with special focus on Business Banking total financial needs

• Provide support to relationship managers & team in managing the portfolio of relationships;

• Promote effectiveness and enhance efficiency in Business Banking operation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Sales and Relationship Management

  • Drive client limit utilisation and expand existing client relationships through pro-active contact, account planning, wallet sizing and effective pipeline management;
  • Answer client enquiries and address complaints either by directly following up on issues or referring them to appropriate parties. own the problems / issues and ensure they are resolved satisfactorily;

Risk & Credit Monitoring
  • Monitoring and seeking approval for excesses or temp limit application, if required. Review daily past due, excess reports, input action taken in these reports and follow up with customers on the past due / excesses. Escalate to RM / Segment Head if necessary;
  • Assist in signature verification, seeking approval for excesses and assist in the releasing of remittance;
  • Assist RM in handling cheque clearance & rejection and obtain approvals as required;
  • Assist in review planning and proactively follow up with customers for documents - financial statements, stock, debtor & ageing reports, insurance policy, valuation reports etc (as required by RM);
  • Assist in the checking of BCA (CMOD/BCA/SCF) and ensure error free submission.
  • Assist RM in performing annual review for CMOD/BCA/SCF

  • Seek approval / extensions / waivers for covenants / risk triggers in BCA as required by RM;
  • Put up review extension on a timely basis;
  • Follow up on amendments on BCA as required by credit operations to facilitate issuance of SCC;
  • Assist on compliance of Foreign Exchange Administrative Rules for Non-RM managed accounts and perform the compilation.

  • Assist RM in preparation of preferential pricing / waiver forms / BCA;
  • Collate and prepare minutes for bi-weekly team meeting;
  • Assist RM in the NTB account opening via eCDD, Filenet and relevant system;
  • Raise SRF via CEMS / Filenet where applicable;
  • Ensure proper filing of working documents;
  • Other ad-hoc administrative duties e.g. e-Pro, ordering stationery, raise RMS.
