Manager, Business Corporate Banking & Global Market Analytics

You will be a strategic partner with the key stakeholders of the Bank, encompassing Business, Operations and Project functions.

You must have the following pre-requisites:

  1. A quantitative based graduate degree
  2. A minimum of 6-8 years working experience
  3. Technical skills in programming, financial mathematics, actuarial/risk/statistical analysis and/or data management
  4. Presentation, negotiating and collaborative skills and experience
You must also have a track record of contributing in projects and analyses, as a team member or as an individual.
The results that you have created must demonstrate that they were based on a mind-set of creativity, curiosity, critical thinking and utilised a sceptical/logical approach.
You must have had exposure to modelling, experiment design, testing, results monitoring and feedback/enhancement actions either in your studies or working experience.
You must be able to develop a strategic point of view and willing to promote, defend or change your opinion based on data.
As a team lead, you must also have experience in guiding, mentoring, managing and nurturing talent to the next level.

The Job Scope:
Your responsibilities are to ensure that timelines, accuracy and robustness of the respective analytics, campaigns and models are adhered to.
This role prefers candidates with extensive exposure and experience in financial services; either in the capacity of management roles in financial institutions (including non-bank) or in consultancy.
As such, the knowledge and experience expectations includes understanding of asset and liability products and operations, credit, pricing, customer behaviour, economic factors, marketing, finance and compliance.

Educational and Technical Requirements in detail:
  • Bachelor or Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics / Actuary, Engineering and the Sciences (Computer, IT and Applied Sciences).
  • Consistently strong results in Mathematics, Statistics and Quantitative Methods is expected from SPM level onwards.
  • Preference will be given to degrees that contain a significant research component in their credit point weightage.
  • Evident skills and training in programming, data mining and statistical analysis utilising SQL (Teradata), SAS, SPSS, R or any other tool; OR experience in using and managing data infrastructure with a focus on campaigns and reporting.
  • Strong and effective articulation skills in both written and spoken English.
