The HR Relationship Manager (HRRM) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in the designated business unit. The successful HRRM acts as an employee champion and change agent. The HRRM is responsible in managing and leading a team of junior and senior HRRM's who will provide support in meeting the business requirements. The HRRM is a member of the management team of the business unit. He/she will actively support discussions and transfer best practices from different functions in the organization. The HRRM provides leadership in the people management area and acts as the facilitator for the business unit management.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Acts as the point of contact for the employees and managers in the business units in relation to HR policies and procedures.
  2. Proactively supports the delivery of HR Processes at the business unit.
  3. Responsible for building a strong business relationship with the business unit while actively identifying gaps and proposes and implement changes necessary to cover people related risks.
  4. Responsible for recruitment of talents for VP level
  5. Leads and drives the business unit outcomes for talent management, succession planning and HR related project initiatives.
  6. Proactively communicates and manages the annual compensation exercise including periodic review of the Integrated Remuneration Schemes by providing advisory on the management of the scheme.
  7. Actively participates in IR matters relating to the business unit by partnering the IR team members in providing required advice and managing IR outcomes.
  8. Collaborates with Learning & Development team on staff development through training and development interventions.
  9. Ensures regular HR related reports are updated and presents to the business unit for updates and tracking.
  10. Works closely with Group HR HRRM's for the business unit in driving initiatives.

Key Requirements

  1. At least 8 to 10 years' experience in Human Resource.
  2. Experience in retail consumer business will be an added advantage.
  3. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, talent & succession management, employee and union relations and performance management is essential.
  4. Strong business acumen and with excellent communication skills and a firm ability to manage and deal with the stakeholders.
  5. Team player who is willing to work and partner internal HR stakeholders in providing the required support to the business unit.
