Finance Analyst, Business Planning & Analytics
Business Performance, Reporting and Financial Management
  1. Overall Centre of excellence for the business units within the Division
  2. Assist in developing and executing investment strategies and business plans
  3. Manage and analyse GAMI monthly P&L for reporting
  4. Manage the overall yearly budgeting and forcasting process of the investment portfolios and the division
  5. Evaluate capital requirement, financial returns and business impact and recommend investment opportunities for consideration
  6. Monitor and analyse macro-economic, industry and company specific trends to deliver periodic reports
  7. Responsible in identifying key financial and other performance measures/ indicators to enable tracking / monitoring of the performance of the portfolio companies
  8. Handling statutory audits and the preparation of statutory financial statements
  9. Assist in all company secretarial related matters
  10. Assist in overall divisional and group reporting matters
  11. collaboration with other departments to drive returns for CIMB Group
  12. Any other responsibilities/ task as assigned from time to time

Financial Advisory
  1. Responsible in advising/ guiding deal team on all aspects of investment evaluation including industry analysis, financial modeling, equity valuation, deal structuring, negotiations, due diligence and transaction documentation
  2. Advise deal team on due diligence requirements and review the work of third-party due diligence consultants (i.e. financial, tax & legal)
  3. Work closely with deal team and legal counsel to structure and finalise transaction agreements
  4. Assist in preparing investment paper for presentation to the Investment Committee
  5. Active monitoring of portfolio companies including monthly review of business performance, liaise with portfolio companies management, prepare regular valuation and investment reports
  6. Responsible in identifying potential issues in the portfolio companies and recommend remedial actions, strategies formulation and implementation
  7. Prepare investment updates for presentation to relevant committees
  8. Assist in preparing all required group reports on the investment portfolio

  1. Well verse with financial valuation models
  2. Able to analyse financial data and understand the investment and accounting implication
  3. Immediate prior experience in investment valuation, portfolio management or deal structuring is preferred
