Description

  • Manages and accountable for operations efficiency of Pre Credit Processing, Credit Review, Post Approval Review and Insurance Units
  • Ensure data entry (DE) and data verification (DV) queues are at acceptable WIP level and sufficient resources available to complete all DE/DV functions
  • Manage a fair distribution of workload amongst the team members and to ensure timely file assignment to credit officers
  • Ensure turnaround time for complete applications are met
  • Guide, train and supervise the team members in the area of credit underwriting, insurance and operations within the unit 
  • Perform investigation and analysis in the event of sales or customer complaint
  • Perform daily pre screening process for all applications and to ensure internal and external policies are met 
  • Perform quality assurance check to ensure applicant or employment verifications conducted as per policy requirement
  • Review user entitlements (EERS) to ensure the rights access and system functionality are accorded to staff accordingly and on timely basis
  • Ensure timely submission of MCA and to review test result carried out by team members during the testing period
  • Ensure LOP is updated accordingly based on the latest process change
  • Ensure pre credit processing checklists and verification checklist are updated based on the latest guidelines 
  • Assist in UAT testing as and when required
  • Prepare and review job functions of team members as and when required
  • Monitor staff annual leave and ensure team members plan their leave accordingly with minimum disruption to the team and sufficient resources to perform daily operations at all times
  • Monitor monthly data entry accuracy tracker by providing feedback to data entry team and conduct quarterly refresher training to the data capturing team
  • Ensure that all pre credit, credit underwriting decisions and insurance are consistent within the Bank's credit policies
  • Participate in credit and insurance related meetings and raise issues where necessary and proactively provide feedback 
  • Ensure all files are kept accordingly as per record management policies
  • Monitor ESMS queries, BNM, ABBM etc. and outcome of investigation Ensure adherence to the Complaint Management guideline and closure of the related queries within the stipulated turnaround time
  • Close interaction with other stakeholders i.e. sales, risk management, legal, compliance, product, collection and fraud management


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields:
  • Banking and Finance
  • Business Administration
  • Economics
  • Possess at least 5 years experience in mortgage underwriting and team management skill
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skill and possess good team work spirit
  • Ability to interact professionally with senior management team
