Cash Application SME

The incumbent will be reporting to Account Receivables Manager, responsible for the achievement of quality, accuracy and timely delivery of Cash Application on time process in accordance to the defined SLAs/KPIs. This incumbent will be supported to deliver OTC global process initiative to streamline and/or automate the Cash Application process, it includes system enhancement and process improvement. The key accountability includes ensuring compliance with Group policies and procedures; and relevant legal and statutory requirement.

  • Run UK&I, EMEA, APAC operational tasks when required (as a support to the team).
  • Act as key contact for stakeholders (Global Cash Application Team - UK& Ireland, EMEA region, and APAC region)
  • Accountable and responsible for the quality, accuracy and timely delivery of Cash Application process (cash applied on time) in accordance to the defined SLAs/KPIs
  • Supervise the team, manage day-to-day operation and responsible for KPIs reporting as well as the team operate within the controls frameworks
  • Supervise and provide work directions to direct reports as well as monitoring their work performance.
  • Ensure compliance to internal and external regulations and procedures, that should be in line with the company policies, standard operating procedures, and/or SLA/MSA
  • Liaise with the auditors, tax authorities and regulatory authorities as required for the countries served in GFS and Business
  • Full support to O2C global initiative in UAT, migrations, scope expansion, standardization and/or data mapping or cleansing
  • Support the assigned project (Acquisitions and Mergers, Divestment (when required)
  • Lead and review continuous process improvement (LSS process improvement) - i.e Kaizen, Lean, Yellow belt/Green belt/Black belt.
  • Undertake special assignments, ad hoc functions, and other duties as and when requested by the line manager
  • Handle high complexity Cash Application process - UK, SGDP and CN-Sinotrust process
  • Update "Performance Metrics" and/or "Control Metrics" on monthly basis with root cause analysis as well as proposed action plan for management to review
  • Monitor and manage issues, escalations and/or exceptional handling requests
  • Maintain and ensure process workflow and documentation are up to date to reflect the current practice
  • Handles confidential information in accordance to the employee code of conduct, as you are required to conduct team members's performance evaluation and review by providing guidance/support on performance improvement (if any) and career development plan
  • Plan, organize and supervise the team operation to ensure the business as usual. Resources planning and allocation that could incorporate future expansion or accelerations plan
  • Set performance objective with direct report and review it with line manager
  • Train and/or upskilling team members to enable cross-team resource rotation
  • Lead and motivate the team to perform problem solving session using A3, Fishbone and 5 Whys to troubleshoot issues and identify potential risks (if any) and follow it through till resolution

Experience required:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree, Professional degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
  • At least 3 - 4 year(s) of experience in MNC - Accounts Receivables
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of revenue accounting is an added advantage
  • Experience in Leadership role is an added advantage
  • Experience in Salesforce and Oracle applications is an added advantage
