Business Planning Manager

The Role Responsibilities

Engagement & Communications
  • Assist with the Management Team meetings that includes co-ordination of meetings, setting the agenda to ensure coverage of BAU items but also strategic priorities, review of papers and follow up on key actions
  • Work with other support functions to prepare presentations for business reviews & regional meetings
  • Assist and drive people initiatives to ensure consistency in high engagement levels and delivery.
  • Support in Implementation of People Engagement plan (The Bridge and regular offsites & townhalls).
  • Communication of Infrastructure related achievements on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to key stakeholders.
  • Drive the Business / Functions communications agenda, working with the Communications team in the development and execution of the Communications plan to help ensure effective communication of key messages across direct/indirect team members and across the wider bank .
Financial Management
  • Work with Finance Team to ensure cost efficiency targets are met and have direct oversight over the unit's budget
  • Provide support on yearly budgeting process
Training Development
  • Oversees the administration and coordination of training and development plans through Learning and Development
  • Ensure oversight on training costs and HRDF claims are submitted and reimbursed through Learning and Development
  • Support HR initiatives on career development programs requiring support from Learning and Development.
Risk Management & Governance
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage and improve the risk and compliance environment leading to highest standards of risk management, consistent with both internal and regulatory policies.
  • Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group's policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Embed the Group's values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture.

  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Business Planning Management and strong background working from consulting, financial service, banking, IT industry.
  • Experience of developing a people strategy, influencing relevant stakeholders and decision makers, and executing decisions efficiently and consistently.
  • Experience with defining and implementing operating models and driving organizational change
  • Ability to lead and control process designing in the context of a significant amount of change.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentation
  • Good working knowledge of software application: Outlook,Word, Powerpoint, Excel,
  • Numeracy - Very strong understanding around budgeting and forecasting, particularly around headcount and financial cost management.
  • Ability to think clearly and resolve critical problems in a high pressure environment.
Preferred Certification:
  • ITIL Certified
  • Six Sigma Certified
