Business Analyst - Consumer Banking

  • Defines and documents business functions and processes base on business needs and objectives.
  • Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, system analysts, project manager and other governmental organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of case management systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.
  • Tracks, review and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications from enhancement/project team to conform to IT standards.
  • Coordinates end-to-end activities and perform QA to support Business User; participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
  • Responds to and resolve issues by finding the root cause of the problem; provides timely updates regarding production status and progress of issue resolution.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.


Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering/ Mathematics/ Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience as business analyst in financial banking industry and have good understanding of SDLC process
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to assimilate information quickly and gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required.
  • Strong team player and interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate good knowledge of relevant product domain and business processes in Consumer banking related domain. E.g. Knowledge in Internet and mobile banking, Contact Centre & Phone Banking, CRM & Customer on boarding, Secure or Unsecure Credit processing, Credit/ Debit card and Unit Trust.
  • Well-versed in industry developments and trends in the relevant functional domain.
  • Experience in driving digital initiatives with business and Operations will be an advantage.
