Assistant Vice President - Risk Control Unit (Group Operations)
Job Purpose:


  • Perform operation lapses ( including regulatory breaches ie FSA/IFSA, MCIPD, PDPA etc ) investigation work as well as handling of regulatory reporting related to the investigation case if required.

  • Conduct investigation work on lapses/events assigned to identify process gaps / guidelines or policies & procedures breaches / staff fault or behavior gaps etc

  • Mapping of processes and guidelines on both Internal Policies & Procedures as well as Regulatory Guidelines


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:


  • Handling of regulatory reporting and charged out memos (if required ) on cases investigated and ensuring proper follow through till closure of the reporting/signed off within the specified timeline


Process Mapping:


  • Map, draw, consolidate and document all GO's SLAs, SOPs and P&P

  • Review, analyze and identify potential gaps and recommend improvements against a CX obsessed, error free and highly audit and compliant mindset

  • Use Lean six sigma and ISO methodology

  • Maintain proper sound governance at all time


Compliance:


  • Possess strong understanding of the business, policy and procedures and regulations

  • Enforce strong governance yet business minded

  • Proactive, alert and actively seeking out weakness offering/ recommending possible valuable solutions


Others:


  • Undertake any other assignments and duties as and when required.


Qualifications
Qualification:
  • Diploma or Degree


Skill / Competencies:
  • Strong leadership, willing to coach
  • Possess good analytical and entrepreneurial skill
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office especially MS Excel & PowerPoint
  • Digitally inclined
  • Able to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work under minimal supervision


Communication:
  • Possess strong probing and interpersonal skills
  • Good in written and verbal communication and able to manage stakeholders, external stakeholder and partners
  • Perform face to face / telephone interview with phone recording to staff impacted
  • Confident presentor and takes feedback constructively
  • Able to solicit support and garner positive collaboration
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity of source data
  • Ensure information is escalated in a timely manner
