Analytical Science Senior Manager

ROLE SUMMARY

The role sits within our Experian Marketplace, South East Asia business.

Experian Marketplace partners with FinTech and Lenders to help banks reduce the 'time-to-yes', and extend credit to a larger pool of customers while keeping risks in check.

Purpose of Role

This role owns the lifeblood of the business - our Data and Analytics solutions and propositions. Engaging with Lenders, FinTech and internal Experian teams Globally, you will be continuously improving our solutions and helping more people get fair access to credit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of multiple, complex analytics projects to clients from inception to completion
  • Develop industry best practise model development/validation frameworks
  • Develop predictive models across customer life cycle- Application, Behaviour & Collection Scorecards
  • Develop data driven strategies to improve acquisition (Increase acceptance rate, Reduce Bad rate), account management (Limit increase, Activation etc) & collections
  • Flexible and have the expertise to perform hands-on modelling work
  • Manage projects to achieve milestones /manage& motivate project team to ensure quality deliverables
  • Mentor and coach junior team members in model development process
  • Drive high standards of customer service and proactive client communication throughout the project term
  • Proactively communicate project status and deliverables through the life of the project
  • Ensure issues raised by the client are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
  • Support the client through the project, providing guidance through project design to implementation
  • Persuasive communication skills, strong in maintain and developing new client relationships
  • Help in resource planning
  • Flexible to travel to client locations on short notice for project delivery/presales (30%)


Knowledge & Experience

  • 10-15 years' experience in credit risk modelling across customer life cycle
  • Thorough understanding of the Application/Behaviour/Collection scorecard development process.
  • Thorough understanding of model's development & validation process is a must.
  • Thorough knowledge of the use and application of analytical methodologies Linier Regression, Logistic Regression, Machine Learning is a bonus.
  • Thorough understanding of segmentation techniques CHAID, CART etc.
  • Analytical Consulting experience is a plus, likely from Big 4s or other reputed consulting firms/ Working in the risk analytics (model development & Validation) of an international bank
  • Good understanding of loss forecasting methodologies and Risk Based Pricing decision Framework
  • Thorough understanding of Banking and Financial Services/Retail business
  • Able to interpret technical features into commercial benefits.

  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Commercially astute, with financial acumen.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent standard, with a high numeric content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.
