Test Environment Specialist

  • Coordinate and setup of non-production environments (development, SIT and UAT) for projects.
  • Monitor and guarantee uptime of test environments.
  • Responsible for environment availability and provide ongoing support for test environments.
  • Automate daily system health check.
  • Monitoring batch jobs and process in non-production environments.
  • Resolve conflicts between teams competing for limited testing resources.
  • Communicate downtimes of the non-production environments to all stakeholders.
  • Forecast environment requirements based on anticipated future demand from multiple application development teams.
  • Lead/manage junior and resource augmentation staffs.


Qualifications
  • A diploma or degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
  • Min 5 years in role and have understanding of the financial sector and generic Banking Application architecture.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to understand modern approaches to deployment automation on both cloud-based infrastructure and bare-metal servers and work closely with release managers and release engineers to track the availability of limited testing resources.
  • Have overall grasp of the work-effort involved to setup and configure operating systems, networks, databases, and application servers involved in the creation of end-to-end testing environments.
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts to configure environments and tracking the status of environment configuration activities.
  • Must have a demonstrated track record of organizing and tracking the progress of multiple projects across the software development lifecycle.
  • Have experience in stakeholder management in communicating with management on topics including project timelines, contingency plans, environment budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks/issues of varying size simultaneously is required.
  • Ability to share knowledge and train internal support team is highly desired.
  • Min 5 years experiences in AS400 environment
  • Experience in setting up Silverlake Integrated Baking System (SIBS) and Silverlake Integrated Card System (SICS) Test Environment
