We are looking for someone to join our Real Estate Operations Department on a permanent basis.
This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic area for Schroders Investment Management based in Luxembourg and to develop your skills within a strategic and growing business.

The team


We are a team of 11 people coming from different cultures and backgrounds, all passionate about Private Assets. Investors we serve are : Pension funds, Banks, Charities and Unit Trusts. We interact with key stakeholders within Schroders departments and entities. We manage the relationships with service providers such as property managers, fiduciaries, custodians, Tax & Legal advisors,


What you'll do

  • Supervise and oversight of accounting, consolidation, administration and depositary services undertaken by third party service providers ("TPA's");
  • Oversee the local SPV accounting performed by an accountant within the team;
  • Review of periodic fund reporting performed by TPA's;
  • Prepare the investment performance data based on periodic fund reporting;
  • Oversight and management of the semi-annual and annual financial statements audits;
  • Transaction support for acquisitions. Tasks include assisting in the structuring advice, set-up of investment structures in accordance with tax advice, creation of new entities and bank accounts in time for transaction closing;
  • Ensure that the structure remains compliant with tax and regulatory requirements;
  • Help ensure that real estate investment entities for which Schroders acts as AIFM remain compliant with regulation and Schroders discharges its AIFM responsibilities;
  • Ensure internal governance standards are maintained in accordance with Group Policy for funds and entities in real estate fund structures;
  • Oversight of loan administration;
  • Oversight of invoice authorization and cash management operations;
  • Ad-hoc projects and missions

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • A degree in finance and accountancy and / or a professional accounting qualification;
  • At least 5 years work experience gained in a real estate investment management company or service provider specialising in real estate
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills;
  • Ability to demonstrate relevant accounting and technical experience and competencies


The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Knowledge of investment appraisal technics and analytics would be an advantage
  • Familiarity and / or hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager would be an advantage
  • Fluency in French
