Fund Investment Oversight Analyst

Working with the Conducting Officers for Wellington Luxembourg S. à r.l., and the Designated Persons for Wellington Management (Ireland) Plc (collectively referred to as Conducting Officers) this role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing business, which manages and oversees over 60 funds totaling AUM of $32bn, offered to a diverse set of Wellington's clients from over 40 countries worldwide.
The funds span the full range of Wellington's product offerings, including equity, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives.
This role will work closely with the Conducting Officers of the Luxembourg Management Company and the WMF Global Governance function and will report to the Conducting Officer for Investment Management.
The position will have a dual focus: a)
As a supporting function for the Conducting Officer for Investment Management (COIM) b)
Building out the investment management delegate due diligence framework, working closely with all the Conducting Officers and their teams to ensure synergies of processes where possible
The candidate will need strong product knowledge from both an investment and regulatory (UCITS and non-UCITS) perspective. Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include: Investment Management Oversight •
Working with the COIM to support the oversight of the portfolio management activities of Wellington Management •
Managing the provision of Investment Management related reporting for monthly Conducting Officer Meetings, quarterly Board Meetings and for the Annual Review of Investment Management •
Working with the COIM to identify and manage key delegated investment management related risks •
Assisting with the review and update of Polices relating to investment management •
Acting as initial point of contact for the CSSF on investment management related queries Delegate Oversight •
Working closely with our external provider to build out and maintain robust and recurring due diligence processes with a focus on the Investment Management function •
Acting as the key point of contact for the above external provider for this function •
Working closely with Conducting Officers and their teams to ensure synergies of processes where possible in relation to investment due diligence and oversight •
Collaborating and feeding into the broader oversight activities of Wellington Funds Group, ensuring that processes are aligned and standardized where feasible •
Maintaining strong regulatory knowledge for Luxembourg and Ireland in relation to oversight and due diligences matters, highlighting and managing relevant regulatory changes •
Ensuring that day-to-day oversight functions are compliant with regulations Other projects/responsibilities • Data-related analysis • Preparation of presentation materials as necessary • Lead or assist with ad hoc related projects Qualifications
We seek individuals who can demonstrate: •Extensive
relevant experience within financial institutions •
Strong product management experience • In depth knowledge of Luxembourg (18/698) and Irish (CP86) regulation (CP86 knowledge can be built but would be considered an asset) •
An understanding of investment strategies and instrument types • An ethos for hard work, accountability, organization and responsiveness • Good inter-personal skills and able to establish effective working relationships • Collaborative and flexible mindset to navigate cross-functionally throughout Wellington • Willingness to take initiative, but also having good judgement about when to seek input first • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Positive, collegial attitude, sense of humor and enthusiasm • Strong analytical and IT skills • Exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness and follow-through • Naturally curious JOB TITLE
