One of our leading Asset Management clients currently require a CCO (Chief Compliance Officer) for 9 months maternity cover, based in Luxembourg 5 days a week paying between £1000 - £1500 per day.

Compliance Policies and Procedures

Implement policies, processes and systems for the operation of the Firm in
compliance with CSSF rules generally and in respect of the following areas:

  • Maintain the Handbook of Policies and Procedures including the Compliance Policy, Compliance Charter and Code of Conduct
  • Investigate and ensure a timely and effective response to Customer Complaints and breaches
  • Acceptability and recording of gifts and inducements given or received by employees or contractors of the Firm
  • Prevention of Market Abuse, including the reporting and approval of all Personal Account Dealing in order to avoid conflicts of interest and Market Abuse
  • Maintenance of the Firm’s Conflicts of Interest Register

Compliance Monitoring

  • Conduct monitoring and oversight of monitoring in accordance with the company’s monitoring plan
  • Conduct oversight visits of local outsource providers and participate in scheduled oversight calls
  • Monitor and ensure timely compliance with the regulatory reporting calendar
  • Oversee and approve initial and ongoing CDD on borrowers / guarantors and vendors / obligors
  • Liaise with the AML teams of the AIFs’ Administrators with regard to the onboarding of investors
  • Conduct CDD on the Firm’s service providers
  • Conduct AML/CFT risk assessments
  • Conduct fund distribution and marketing monitoring
  • Oversee the regulatory activities of the Firm’s branches

Compliance Record Keeping

Maintain the Company’s regulatory records, including:

  • CSSF correspondence and reporting
  • Compliance projects
  • AML records on borrowers / guarantors, vendors / obligors and service providers
  • Ensure rule breaches are documented, recorded on the Breaches and errors log and appropriate action taken to remediate
  • Maintain the gifts log and personal account dealing log
  • Maintain a PEP and high-risk client log
  • Training & competence records
  • Client engagements and ensuring that client engagement procedures (engagement letters, CDD, client classifications and suitability assessments) are followed
  • Conflicts of interest Log - identify the measures taken to manage and/or disclose them
  • Recording customer complaints and ensuring that action is taken to remedy them
  • Notifiable events
  • Insiders log
  • Complaints log
  • Personal Account dealing by employees and contractors
  • Compliance monitoring reports and due diligence documents

Regulatory Advice

  • Provide the Board of the Firm with regulatory updates
  • Implement new regulations applicable to the Firm
  • Update staff on regulatory changes
  • Provide advice on ad hoc regulatory queries




  • Generalist Compliance role managing function and small team
  • Asset Management sector experience working for Leading Asset Management Firm
  • Luxembourg based 
  • UCITS (Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities)
  • Is know to the CSSF
  • French speaking (nice to have)
