About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Investment Accounting team in Luxembourg.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of accounting professionals and the delivery of accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting services for a portfolio of Luxembourg-based real estate and investment fund structures. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and review of financial statements, coordinating complex accounting activities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.
As a people manager, you will provide technical guidance, coaching, and development support to team members while ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality client service. You will also contribute to process improvements, regulatory compliance initiatives, and system enhancement projects to support the continued growth and efficiency of the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role that would suit an experienced fund accounting professional who enjoys operating in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance team leadership with the successful delivery of complex reporting requirements across multiple fund entities.

Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of investment accounting professionals.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to team members.
- Coordinate workloads, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery of team objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the preparation and review of accounting records, financial statements, and annual accounts for fund entities in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP (Lux GAAP).
- Review complex accounting transactions and provide technical accounting expertise.
- Analyze accounting variances and prepare clear explanations and management reports.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all client deliverables.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external parties including auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, and valuation specialists.
- Review and interpret contracts, legal agreements, and other documentation relevant to investment structures.
- Support the coordination of tax compliance requirements for Luxembourg-based entities.
- Assist with regulatory reporting obligations, including submissions to the BCL, CSSF, and Annex IV reporting frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and process enhancement initiatives.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), provide feedback to technology teams, and train users on new systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, fund accounting, or financial reporting.
- Experience working with private equity, real estate, or other alternative investment funds is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of people management experience, including team leadership and development.
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg fund structures and Lux GAAP reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a team.
- Proven client-focused mindset with a commitment to exceptional service delivery.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Yardi and Microsoft Dynamics is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with investment accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- French is highly desirable.
- German would be considered an asset.
