REAL ESTATE ACQUISITION ACCOUNTANT (m/f)

THE JOB :

Within the Real Estate Acquisition Accounting team, you will be in charge of :

  • Analysing structures of newly acquired projects and scrutinizing their Tax Structure Memorandums;
  • Liaising with the Project Acquisition Team in London about the acquisition's Funds Flow;
  • Looking through the bank statements and reconciling the Funds Flow with the cash transfers of the incorporations of the entities and of the acquisition;
  • Translating the Funds Flow into journal entries to be imported into the accounting system;
  • Reading and correcting legal documentation in relation to the acquisition;
  • Corresponding with the respective Internal Accounting Team responsible for the project about the handover of the prepared entities and any acquisition related questions;
  • Assist the internal team with the year-end reporting and audit processes;
  • Setting up the intercompany loans' cards for interest calculations;
  • Assist during implementation phase of software deployment
  • Assist with the on-boarding of the newly acquired projects
  • Assist with improving and implementing internal processes relating to the system
  • Ensure implementation is in line with company policy


THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :

The successful candidate would have ideally :

  • 3 years relevant professional experience in general operational accounting in real estate area (audit experience will be an advantage), including financial accounting, administration and year-end audit & reporting processes;
  • Knowledge of IFRS will be an advantage;
  • Degree in accounting (ACCA or similar);
  • Fluency in English (verbally and in writing) is a compulsory requirement as there is a very high exposure to our London Acquisition and Finance Team
  • Analytical mind-set and logical thinking
  • Proficient user of MS Office, high level especially in Excel; Yardi knowledge will be an advantage
  • Excellent organisation skills;
  • Fast learner;
  • Goal oriented and hands on mentality;
  • Ability to work independently yet cooperatively and always with professionalism;
  • Team player, ready to take initiatives, to think out-of-the-box;
  • Able to multitask on a daily basis
