Valuation Control Supervisor

Senior position in an elite Valuation Control team based in Tokyo, focusing on the rates business at a leading international investment bank.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of valuation control in the business, i.e. validation of market data input, reporting and analysis.
  • Produce and implement process guides for valuation adjustments and price testings in accordance with the business.
  • Provide timely remediation of regulatory issues or other audit findings.
  • Develop effective design of control to comply with valuation policies and standards.
  • Identify and analyse pricing issues or valuation matters involving valuation parameters or instrument types etc.
  • Act as first point of escalation when there is any price discrepancies or breaches.
  • Conduct client validation mission related to Japan business.

Required skills
  • +5 years of experience in valuation control, risk or other quantitative finance role.
  • Good understanding in global accounting standard and the regulatory regarding valuation of financial instruments.
  • Good quantitative background.

Preferred skills
  • Good communication skills in English and Japanese
