Responsibilities
  1. \t\tSales Collateral Sector Intelligence and RFP
  2. \t\tProduce client collateral in support of new business solicitation and client relationship development and management activities related or not related to a formal RFP process. Client collateral will include but not be limited to
  3. \t\tResponding to client RFPs
  4. \t\tSector collateral - general and customised client solution sets sector expertise/write-ups case studies and in-depth analysis of sector-specific themes and insight which complement and develop on sector marketing campaigns
  5. \t\tIndustry and market collateral - periodic publications that critique on notable developments in the industry including but not limited to regulatory changes competitor activities corporate events and consolidation and technological breakthrough
  6. \t\tProduct collateral - product write-ups across the entire spectrum of offering in Global Services Global Markets and Global Exchange
  7. \t\tThought-leadership - provide views on new ideas ground-breaking discoveries and thought-provoking topics in financial services that would drive State Street's ability to differentiate its offering
  8. \t\tDesign and package various types of collateral subject to client type audience and regulatory compliance requirements related to copyright data privacy confidentiality and disclosure rules of each sector or country
  9. \t\tDevelop and maintain a central repository for client collateral which can be accessible across the firm prioritising data integrity
  10. \t\tWork closely with sales and relationship management professionals to monitor ongoing relevance of collateral whilst generating new ideas for new collateral over time
  11. \t\tLiaise internally with all departments across the firm in region and globally to source for data precedence intelligence and institutional proprietary knowledge
  12. \t\tSource and investigate relevant and credible external sources of data and client/market/industry intelligence
  13. \t\tPromote an approach in Japan that is consistent with rest of the Asia-Pacific region to collate analyse and present written information across the firm in relation to client collateral

  1. \t\tProspect and Deal Management
  2. \t\tAssist in developing client strategy and account plans
  3. \t\tWork with sales leads to identify client issues and structure solutions
  4. \t\tAssist in deal and fee structuring including preparing documentation for internal deal approvals
  5. \t\tAssist sales leads in internal deal team liaison management and organisation including trouble-shooting
  6. \t\tAssist sales leads in communicating with clients including but not limited to client meetings and events
Required
  • \t\t3- 5 years post undergraduate professional experience
  • \t\tFluent speaking reading and professional writing skills in Japanese and English. Candidates who are not fluent in Japanese need not apply
  • \t\tProven ability to conduct market research and analysis with minimum supervision
  • \t\tInterest in producing high quality presentations
  • \t\tAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a strong professional attitude when under pressure
  • \t\tInterest to build an internal network and to communicate effectively across multiple countries and cultures
  • \t\tPassion for continuous learning and excellence

Advantageous
  • \t\tExperience in financial services
  • \t\tExperience in supporting new business development or client relationship management
  • \t\tKnowledge in one or more of the following sectors: Sovereign Wealth Funds/Central Banks Insurance Asset Managers Pension Funds Alternatives
  • \t\tExperience in supporting deal structuring and project management
