The role calls for a highly experienced Sales professional who will penetrate existing accounts and hold the responsibility for the sale of Broadridge products and services to new business clients in the Japan region.

General Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Sales Strategy Plan and Sales Action Plan.
  • Generate leads and aggressively penetrate new accounts in the Japan region via own network, industry events, networking opportunities, cold calling and cross selling.
  • Drive revenues from existing and new accounts.
  • Execute sales and business development activities for the assigned region.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor a pipeline of qualified business opportunities.
  • Organise and balance tactical activity with strategic planning whilst also analysing sales opportunities and market trends in the business context.
  • Oversee and own elements of  the sales process where required; typical activities to include:
  • Participate in initial contact and prospect qualification.
  • Manage presenting the service offering to identified prospects.
  • Participate in set up and execution of requirements/scoping meetings.
  • Assist with formal responses to any client generated RFPs.
  • Negotiate agreement of contract pricing.
  • Obtain due diligence documentation from prospective clients.
  • Manage the prospect through internal due diligence approval processes.
  • Work with the legal department to agree and sign contract.
  • Work with the conversions team to ensure the successful go-live of new client.
  • Manage the handover of new clients to the account management team.
  • Maintain appropriate records of all prospecting and sales activity.
  • Represent Broadridge at sales meetings, seminars, trade shows and industry events.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.

People Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor, with an active interest in developing others to improve performance.
  • Assist to determine staffing requirements for organisational management and project delivery.
  • Recruit, interview and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the business objectives, where appropriate.
  • Implement a performance management process for staff which includes monitoring the performance of staff on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review.
  • Supervising staff to help create and lead a dynamic, empowered, high-functioning team. Ensure that clear direction and guidance is provided to staff such that the strategic goals of the organisation are achieved.
  • Strive to create a work environment that is effective and satisfying, through approachable, open, and transparent interactions with staff.

Person Specification:

  • Experience selling technology solutions in the Financial Services sector and driving teams to success.
  • Adept leader with a successful sales track record and experienced in building profitable relationships

            with customers and partners.

  • Ability to initiate, develop and maintain internal relationships.
  • Excellent knowledge of the financial service/brokerage industry, specifically back and middle office operations.
  • Ability to quickly learn the details of our core offering, sufficient to drive client interest, grow pipeline and close sales.
  • Ability to apply consultative sales approach to problem solving with prospective clients.
  • Ability to synthesise and articulate strategic ideas to different levels of business.
  • Possess gravitas and the presence to interact and secure buy-in from with Senior Management.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, presentational and inter-personal.
  • Excellent proficiency in Japanese.
  • Good proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Proven proficiency in maintaining clients, high client satisfaction results and overall client advocacy.
