Job description

Ant International is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join our Alipay+ team in Japan as a "Commercial District BD". In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of Alipay+, a leading cross-border payment service, in designated commercial districts across Japan. You will work closely with small and medium-sized merchants, local associations, and marketing partners to expand our payment ecosystem and maximize brand visibility and Alipay+ payment transaction volume.

The Commercial District BD is responsible for managing and developing Alipay+ merchants within designated commercial areas in Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial District Operations & Merchant Management

• Manage Alipay+ merchants in designated commercial areas (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Osaka Minami, etc.)

• Drive new Alipay+ merchants acquisition and expansion in assigned districts

Promotional Campaign Planning & Execution

• Plan and execute promotional activities to increase Alipay+ usage in assigned districts

• Design and implement marketing campaigns to drive Alipay+ payment transaction volume

Maximizing Brand Visibility

• Organize events and collaborate with local festivals to enhance Alipay+ brand awareness

• Execute Alipay+ marketing initiatives to increase brand recognition in assigned districts

Building Relationships with Local Partners

• Establish and strengthen relationships with commercial associations, local government, and community organizations

• Act as the main point of contact for regional partners in assigned districts

Expanding Signage Placement through Store Visits

• Conduct regular store visits to merchants and coordinate installation of Alipay+ signage and POS materials

• Monitor and maintain visibility of Alipay+ branding at partner locations

Commercial District BD は、日本国内の指定された注力商圏において Alipay+ 加盟店の管理と事業開発を担当します。

主な職務内容

商圏運営と加盟店管理

• 指定された注力商圏(新宿、渋谷、池袋、大阪ミナミ等)における Alipay+ 加盟店の管理

• 担当商圏におけるAlipay+ 新規加盟店開拓と拡大

販促キャンペーンの企画• 実行

• 担当商圏における Alipay+ 利用率向上のためのプロモーション施策の企画• 実施

• マーケティングキャンペーンの企画• 実行によるAlipay+ 決済量の拡大

ブランド露出の最大化

• イベントの開催や街のイベントとのタイアップによる Alipay+ 認知度の向上

• Alipay+ マーケティング施策の実行による担当商圏でのブランド認知拡大

地域パートナーとの関係構築

• 商圏内の組合、自治体、地域団体との関係構築• 強化

• 担当商圏における地域パートナーとの主要フロント担当としての役割

店舗訪問を通じた掲示物の設置拡大

• 加盟店への定期的な店舗訪問と、Alipay+ のサイネージや POS 掲示物の設置を推進

• パートナー店舗における Alipay+ ブランディングの可視性維持と管理

• Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Customer Success roles

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders

• Network within the Japanese payment/acquiring industry

• Understanding of foreign tourist behavior and payment preferences in Japan

• Experience in promotional campaign planning and execution

• Strong understanding of the payment ecosystem in Japan

• Background in Payment (Fintech) and/or Inbound Tourism (Visit Japan) industries is a plus
