Link Asset Services is a European division of Link Group (market-leading provider of technology-enabled administration solutions, with over 7,000 employees working across 15 jurisdictions) highly specialized in Loan Origination & Servicing, debt work-out, compliance & regulatory oversight.
Within our Business Development & Underwriting Team, the selected resources will be responsible for the underwriting of NPL & UTP secured loan portfolios, interfacing with originators and clients and meeting their objectives and timeframes.
The main responsibilities of the positions will include the following:
§ Conduct due diligence and analytical assessments on the loan portfolios with the objective of formulating, recommending and presenting the optimal strategy for maximising loan recovery;
§ Understand a client / prospective client’s objective and perspective and ensuring that any analysis/ output is fully aligned to same;
§ Delivery of high quality, professional, accurate and concise reporting and Management Information as required by Link and its clients;
§ Provide full support and assistance to the Business Development Senior Manager in his aim to embrace the long-term goal of the firm in terms of track-record and reputation on the market and be recognized as a role model within the team;
§ Where required, deputise for the Business Development Senior Manager in coordinating projects, managing delivery deadlines and providing guidance junior staff.
The position holder should possess the following key attributes:
§ University degree in Banking or Economics/Finance;
§ 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience preferable within banks, corporate finance or debt advisory firms, private equity funds, BIG 4 or special servicing companies;
§ Previous knowledge / experience in debt restructuring agreements and judicial procedures envisaged by the Italian Bankruptcy Law;
§ Due diligence experience, ability to work with limited information to form strategies regarding borrower connections, credit analysis and associated loan documentation;
§ Ability to manage structured processes (both acquisition and disposal of NPL and UTP secured portfolios) involving multiple third parties (borrowers, advisors, lawyers, brokers);
§ Strong financial analysis skills, with ability to review, understand and interpret audited financial accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts;
§ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in the context of private equity environment;
§ Fluent in English and Italian (essential). Any other language would be considered as an asset;
High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages (with key focus on Excel and Power Point) with the ability to learn quickly other relevant systems
