Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Senior Payroll Specialist will be providing payroll services to a diverse range of international clients. He/She will have a solid understanding of payroll legislation and will be able to process payrolls from start to finish. He/She will work with the Payroll Team Leader to respect deadlines and high quality of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership in managing all kind of client's requests
  • Ensures payroll is prepared in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
  • Reviews payroll submissions and ensures proper disbursement of earnings and tax amounts
  • Processing payrolls complex clients
  • Provides labour and payroll consultancy services to clients when needed
  • Supports and assists more junior team members
  • Checks on processed payrolls by Junior Specialists
  • Performs monthly account reconciliations
  • Supports internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Analyses payroll data
  • Conference calls and client meetings together with Senior Officer or Supervisor
  • Processing year end reporting
  • General tasks for the team

Job specific requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of English (B2/C1)
  • Proven experience in a payroll role within a payroll delivery position.
  • Expertise in all MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Degree in Law and/or Economics
  • Between 6 and 10 years' experience in similar Organizations
  • Excellent client services skills
  • Articulates and is able to communicate complex ideas in a simple, easy-to-understand manner
  • Trustworthy team member who considers those around them
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Deep expertise in Payslips' System
  • Deep knowledge of Italian Labour Law
  • Understands personal development areas and is driven to 'bridge' gaps
  • Is aware of client contracts and what is W.I.P./ 'out of scope'
  • Understands TMF Groups' business lines, regulatory requirements and how the organisation is structured
  • May delegate to support staff with clear explanation
  • Will manage stakeholders' expectations concerning delivery, escalating concerns as appropriate.
