Description
Our Kilkenny office is expanding and we are looking for an ambitious qualified accountant to join this high performing team. As Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who has exposure to working in a practicing firm, responsibilities will include:
• Building strong relationships with new and established clients
• Preparation and review of statutory financial statements in accordance with Irish GAAP (FRS 102, FRS 105).
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act 2014 and other relevant regulations.
• Preparation and review of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Oversee preparation and review of corporation tax and income tax returns.
• Advise clients on VAT, PAYE, and other compliance matters.
• Liaise with Revenue Commissioners on client queries and compliance issues.
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior staff and trainees.
• Provide training and technical support as required.
• Contribute to the development of firm procedures and best practices.
Key Requirements
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2/3 years' post-qualification experience in a practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax compliance.
• Experience in leading audits and managing client portfolios.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Relate, Surf, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
