Overview

At Pen Underwriting, we're looking for an Insurance Administrator (FNOL) to join our Claims team in Wexford. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to play a key part in supporting customers at the start of their claims journey, ensuring claims are registered accurately, efficiently, and with care.

Working closely with the Property Damage and Strategic Claims Lead, you'll take ownership of the First Notification of Loss (FNOL) process and provide claims administration support across a wide range of insurance products. You'll collaborate with colleagues across Claims, Underwriting and Accounts, helping to deliver a responsive service that supports both customers and business partners.

If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different, we'd love to hear from you. At Pen Underwriting, you'll join a team of service-minded professionals who value collaboration, integrity, and continuous learning.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact when a claim is reported, helping customers navigate an important moment with professionalism and empathy. You'll manage the FNOL process from initial registration through to accurate claims administration, ensuring key deadlines and service standards are achieved.

You'll work closely with insurers, loss adjusters, engineers, and other service providers to support claim progression while maintaining accurate records and documentation. You'll also partner with colleagues across the business to ensure information is shared effectively and customers receive clear, timely updates throughout the claims journey.

  • Managing and registering First Notification of Loss (FNOL) cases within agreed timelines
  • Delivering high-quality customer service through phone, email, and written communication
  • Maintaining accurate claims files and document records
  • Coordinating with external experts, suppliers, and service providers
  • Supporting claims administration across all lines of business
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR, CPC, and CICA requirements
  • Assisting with ad hoc claims-related activities as required

About you

  • Experience working in an office, administrative, insurance, or customer service environment
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • The ability to communicate clearly with customers, colleagues, and external partners by phone and in writing
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities while meeting agreed deadlines
  • A structured approach to organising information and maintaining accurate records
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider team
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering a professional service
  • The ability to identify issues and suggest practical solutions
  • An APA qualification or progress towards a CIP qualification would be beneficial, but is not essential

At Pen Underwriting, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team where your contribution matters. The relationship builders. The problem solvers. The service-minded professionals. Together, we help deliver positive outcomes for our customers and each other.
