Client Profile - Tax Consultancy Firm

Our client is a progressive tax firm based in Dublin. They have a reputation for providing their clients with workable and commercial tax solutions. Their client base comprises high net worth individuals, SMEs, multinational organisations, legal firms and other accountancy firms. In their industry sector they are viewed as progressive, entrepreneurial, and are recognised as a leading tax consultancy firm.

VAT Division - Manager

They have recently expanded their VAT division, which is experiencing growth and exceptional demand from clients to handle a diverse range of consultancy assignments. They wish to hire an experienced VAT professional who will work with their Director and VAT team. The main elements of the role will include:

• Managing Planning & Consulting issues - from inception to completion
• Supporting clients by providing VAT advice on property transactions
• Routine VAT health checks - to identify potential issues and opportunities
• Managing VAT related revenue audits
• Interacting with revenue with regard to VAT on various income types
• New products - VAT discovery and research consultancy
• Interacting with external advisors i.e. solicitors, financial institutions and accountancy firms regarding structuring of client VAT affairs
• Ability to research points quickly and arrive at solutions that work
• Development - supporting the development of staff within the firm

Candidate Profile & Remuneration

Candidate should have a number of years' experience working within VAT advisory, either within a large accountancy firm, specialist tax practice, or a legal firm. This role represents a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Consultant to work closely with their Tax Director on a range of consulting assignments, delivering innovative tax solutions. As a key member of staff the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the strategic development and direction of the firm and as such offers an upper quartile remuneration package combined with excellent upward career development opportunities.
