We have a permanent opportunity for a nearly or newly qualified actuary to join the Risk Team in the role of Risk Actuary/Actuarial Risk Analyst. The role is based at our PIA office in Dublin. Prudential International Assurance plc. (PIA) is an Irish regulated life insurance company that offers 'offshore' investment, protection and savings products on a cross-border basis to UK residents, expatriates and high net worth international investors in selected markets in Europe and around the world.
The risk team support the Chief Risk Officer in providing a second line of defence function for PIA and provides risk expertise in a first line of defence role for major projects. PIA Risk manages the Pillar II aspects of Solvency II, in particular the production of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) and the Risk Identification Assessment Process, and reviews the operational and business processes by way of risk assessments and risk reviews.
An opportunity has arisen for a nearly or newly qualified Actuary to join the Risk Team in the role of Risk Actuary/Actuarial Risk Analyst.
As a Risk Actuary/Actuarial Risk Analyst you will lead and/or assist on the technical & actuarial aspects of risk work including:
- Internal Model Validation
- Risk Assurance work
- Risk identification
- Production of the PIA Own Risk & Solvency Assessment report
- Reviewing methodology, results & other papers presented to management committee
- Review & update of the company's Risk Appetite
- Production of risk papers as required.
- Actuarial experience in life assurance actuarial work
- Detailed knowledge in Solvency II reporting
- Ideally working knowledge in Risk Management
- Experience in actuarial risk/reporting
- Analytics experience
- Excellent attention to detail.
