Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic Senior IT Specialist to lead digital transformation initiatives across Allied World's technology landscape. This role combines could combine technical expertise in multiple product areas and product ownership to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and solve complex business problems that support organizational growth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Architecture & Implementation

• Define cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best practices
• Create technical documentation, solution blueprints, and architectural diagrams
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS strategies

Product Management & Strategy

• Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept ideation to delivery
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps, release plans, and backlogs
• Decompose business needs into user stories with acceptance criteria
• Create and leverage business cases to understand and quantify value of outcomes

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Partner with IT leadership, product owners, and engineering teams to align strategies with business goals
• Establish and build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders and business partners
• Provide regular updates on strategic and tactical plans including roadmap reviews and demos
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to development and infrastructure teams

Agile Practice & Innovation

• Work with teams and broader organization to adopt agile practices to improve transparency, communication, and effectiveness
• Participate in the AW IT Community and bring new ideas and practices to the community
• Drive innovation in processes while maintaining clear documentation of methods

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 3-5 years experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate both in business and technical terms
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Solid project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Change Agent - intellectual & analytical skills to perform research, collect & analyze data, and proactively manage change
