Commercially astute business partner required to support European based employees in a global Life Sciences/Pharma/ Bio Tech business. Working cross functionally, you will inform business strategy as an expert in organisation design, HR policies and employment law. Implement key people strategies and support the development of talent and employee effectiveness across your region of responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic business partner to managers and employees across Europe

Liaise with Global divisions and provide critical insights for group policy and planning

Execute strategic plans and deliver excellence across the full HR employee cycle

Lead and develop people plans and solutions across your region

Assess and evaluate effectiveness, engagement and success factors

Proactively review business requirements and manage solutions to resolution

Drive performance management policy and implementation, activities and capability

Partner with the business to drive a high-performance culture

Develop talent and enable succession planning and talent retention

Manage local C&B and inform group Reward initiatives and planning

Ensure local compliance with legal and financial and governance protocol

Knowledge of EU /European multicultural and matrix working environments


Experience required

Professional qualification in HR or related business area to degree/ master level

10 years+ as a business partner/ supportive role in European / International environment

Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment

Demonstrated knowledge of applicable European employment-related laws and regulations

Background in international C&B and understanding of the complexity of managing a global population

Demonstrated experience working in a multi-national European environment and ability to understand the differences in local legislation and local-country employment related terms and conditions

Resourceful, practical and pragmatic people leader and excellent communicator

Commercially focused, analytical thinker with ability to work remotely or as part of a large team
