Client Profile: Large Accountancy Firm, Cork

Our client is a high-profile large practice based in Cork. A long-established firm, they have a reputation for providing excellent tax consultancy services to their clients. Within the Munster region, they are viewed as a leader in their field. The training within this firm is second to none, and the successful candidate will quickly be given responsibility for working on challenging assignments. The culture within the firm is supportive, and the training plan is designed to quickly broaden and develop the candidate's experience. This is achieved by working closely with colleagues and having a high level of interaction with Partners.

Role: Accountant to specialise in Tax

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about tax and wishes to develop their career in this area. Candidate will benefit from working with some of the best professionals in the Irish market and will gain exposure to a varied range of assignments across a broad range of clients. This will include:

• Managing tax compliance for a range of clients, across all tax headings
• Assisting Partner on tax projects
• Researching tax issues to support advice to clients on various issues
• Extensive interaction with clients, other advisors and revenue
• Non-routine tax assignments including tax aspects of restructuring, patents, revenue audits, inheritance advice, cash extractions and non-routine VAT issues

Candidate Profile:

• Candidates should be Qualified Accountant or Finalist
• May suit an AITI seeking a move to a larger firm
• Excellent academic record
• Good client skills
• Self-starter
