experienced Bookkeeper
to join our ABAS
and Outsourcing team

Position Responsibilities



Carry out bookkeeping tasks on clients as directed



Take on projects to correct clients bookkeeping systems



Perform Bank reconciliations for all clients



Perform all relevant control account reconciliations as directed



Use Dext and other apps as directed to improve the efficiency of the work we do



Prepare VAT returns ready for review by the client manager



Plan own time to maximum efficiency, manage personal time and working practices to maximize profitability and protect the good reputation of the firm.



Maintain the highest standards of personal organisation.



Consistently achieve good feedback from clients and staff by delivering a high standard of client service both internally and externally.



Comply with the firm's policies, procedures and ethical standards.



Fulfil ongoing obligation to Continuing Professional Development and take an active role in own personal development




What We're Looking For



Experience in the use of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Big Red Book, Quick Books etc.



Knowledge of core accounting apps such as Dext



Ability to use sector software, in particular Excel, Word and e-mail systems.



Ability to prepare and draft professional letters and emails, ensuring information is communicated accurately, clearly, and in a professional manner to clients.




Fluency in English essential.



Attention to detail.



Ability to work well within a team but also to be able to work alone
