Infra Ops Tech Lead - Citrix
Job Description

• 8-10 years of experience in Citrix XenApp and Xen-Desktop, Windows Servers and Client OS, NetScaler & F5 Load Balancers.
• Experience on VMWare, managing hosts, maintenance, resource allocation, etc.
• Experience with Azure, Windows Virtual Desktop, Citrix Cloud, etc.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in Citrix Administration
• Citrix Administration on XenApp and Xen-Desktop version 7.x with multiple sites and farms.
• Maintain high availability and perform DR activities between multiple data centers.
• Strong knowledge in design, implementation, troubleshooting of Citrix XenApp and Xen-desktop 7.x.
• Strong Knowledge on Citrix Components such as Studio, Director, DDC, StoreFront, License Server, VDA, Citrix Receiver and Workspace.
• Creating and managing Master Image servers, Machine Catalogs and Delivery Groups.
• Installing and publishing applications to the users through XenApp Servers as per Client requirements.
• Working with multiple application teams and troubleshooting issues related to areas which has an impact on Citrix.
• Configuring Local and Network Printers Management in Citrix environment
• Knowledge in Citrix Director and configuring alerts as per best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Server 2012R2 OS and 2016 OS.
• Worked in the area of Virtualization with VMware vSphere, ESXi 7and vCenter server
• Configuring and troubleshooting Windows Roaming Profile and Mandatory Profile.
• Capable to perform basic checks in GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Active Directory Administration
• Knowledge on PowerShell scripting, automation of Citrix administration tasks.
• Understanding of data center and networking topologies
• Experience in NetScaler and able to perform basic tasks like Failover, Firmware upgrade, SSL Certificate renewal, Policies creation.
• Escalating issues and work with software vendor specific Technical Support
• Citrix Cloud, Azure Cloud knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Review periodic reports of server health, resource usage, user experience, and overall environment performance.
• Drive service improvement programs. Ensure adherence to quality / security standards defined for the engagement Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.
• Competent and demonstrated experience in ITIL processes: Incident, Request, Problem and Change Management
• Willingness to work in shifts including nights and weekends and co-ordinate with the team to provide support as per business requirements.


• Troubleshooting and Incident Management
• Provides technical assistance on Citrix products to customers of medium to large size, scope, and political complexity-via phone, email and remote access.
• Resolve issues escalated by lower support groups.
• Resolve incident and request tickets as assigned, while collaborating with various teams and follow-up with end users when a support ticket is closed to ensure the problem has been satisfactorily resolved.
• Responsible for BAU, incident management, reporting, metrics, daily farm maintenance and intake requests as required.
• Provide on call support.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting
• Fulfillment of requests for the Citrix application and Infrastructure and environment, daily farm monitoring and maintenance, access requests, reporting, metrics, incident and problem management.
• Function as escalated support and perform troubleshooting to determine the nature of the issue.
• Create support tickets and log all troubleshooting steps performed.
• Citrix Infrastructure assessment, farm management optimizations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in Citrix, Application & Desktop Virtualization, Azure, Citrix Cloud and related technologies.
• Minimum 8+ years of combined experience in Citrix, Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, Citrix Netscaler, etc.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Citrix Storefront, Citrix Licensing, Citrix Database, Workspace App.
• Experience with Citrix App Layering, MCS and PVS.
• Knowledge of the Citrix Cloud, Workspace Environment Manager, Azure Windows Virtual Desktop.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an Agile or Continuous Delivery environment.
• Certification in Azure and / or Windows Servers.
• CCA or CCP certification is preferred.
