Your Role

Our Property & Casualty (P&C) Reinsurance Operations team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Reinsurance Technical Accounting Specialist to join our Mumbai office. In this role, you will manage reinsurance accounting transactions, ensure the timely processing of statements of account, maintain accurate financial records, and provide key support to underwriting teams across the Asia-Pacific region.

You will work closely with underwriters, finance colleagues, cedents, brokers, and internal business stakeholders to ensure premium and claims transactions are processed accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and tax requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage the review and processingof P&C reinsurance premium and claims statements of account, ensuringcompleteness, accurate recording and compliance with contractual requirements
• Work closely with technicalaccounting team based in Cologne
• Reconcile account balances andinvestigate discrepancies with brokers, cedents, and internal stakeholders
• Monitor outstanding statements ofaccount and proactively follow up with underwriting teams, brokers, andbusiness unit leaders to identify and resolve late or missing accounts
• Prepare regular reports onoutstanding accounts, processing backlogs, and reconciliations status
• Coordinate with underwriting teamsto ensure timely booking of premium, commissions, claims, and other contractualadjustments
• Handle India GST/VAT and indirecttax matters related to reinsurance transactions, working closely with theFinance and Tax teams to ensure regulatory compliance
• Assist with internal and externalaudits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as required
• Ensure compliance with companyaccounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to regional andinternational projects and initiatives

Your Profile

• Degree qualified in Accounting,Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
• 3-8 years of experience inreinsurance technical accounting, insurance operations, or financial accounting
• Property & Casualty (P&C)reinsurance accounting experience is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with reinsuranceaccounting activities, including statements of account, premium and claimsaccounting, commissions, cash settlements, and reinsurance contractadministration
• Knowledge of India GST/VATrequirements applicable to (re)insurance transactions is desirable
• Strong proficiency in MicrosoftExcel, with experience using accounting or reinsurance administration systems
• Good command of English, bothspoken and written
• Excellent analytical,organizational, and reconciliation skills with strong attention to detail
