Vice President - BTP - Global Clients Data Manager
Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience as Business Analyst/Data Analyst /Data Engineer/ Data Consultant
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Computer Science/Information Systems or other quantitative discipline (Master's degree is a plus)
The Finance and Risk Infrastructure Business Solutions Team (FRIBS) is responsible for providing business and technology solutions for our Finance and Risk business partners. Specifically, the Global Billing Program is a strategic global initiative accountable for mitigating operational risk across State Street. The Global Clients Data Manager role manages and guides the overall strategic direction of the Billing Data Project Team associated with State Street's Global Clients. The Global Clients division represents State Streets most complex and critical global clients comprised of 60% of State Streets revenues and across ~1,200 bespoke fee schedules. This role is focused on State Street's Global Clients' Data and allows the opportunity to work with the Global Billing Operations, Global Clients Division and FRIBS. The role requires experience with Project Management, Data Conversions, Data Sourcing and Lineage, and Enterprise Data Governance standards. Candidates interested in this role should be proficient in working with financial instruments, associated data and be well versed with the end-to-end billing life cycle. Ability to exercise independent thinking while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment is required.
Requirements:
  • Project Management skills specific to large complex programs and data
  • Ability to provide strategic direction and management associated with billing data sourcing and lineage
  • Experience identifying, documenting and rationalizing data sources
  • Experience performing risk based metrics to prioritize data automation and test manual controls
  • Ability to identify patterns and links; look beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications; generate new solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to leverage transformation logic to drive end-to-end data lineage and data quality checks
  • Ability to interact and interface with internal clients, vendors, development and testing teams
  • Expertise of all components involved in Financial Accounting and Billing
  • 10+ years of Financial Services Industry preferred BA/BS Computer Science / Business / MIS (or equivalent work experience to substitute for education
Job Requirements:

  • Strong management skills working across global teams and multiple time-zones
  • Experience working in a global data intensive program in Banking or Financial Services
  • Experience managing a team focused on data sourcing and lineage
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data management concepts, principles and practices
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Oracle, Financial Billing, Revenue Analytics
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
